Refunds and Service Cancellation

Hosting Services

We can not refund any amount paid for hosting services, including dedicated (or semi-dedicated) servers, but you can transfer the amount paid (the balance on your account) to another of our hosting products by upgrading or downgrading your account. We require a 30-day notice for cancellation of dedicated servers (this is imposed by our data center).

Requesting Service Cancellation

You can request that your hosting account be cancelled from within the Client Portal.

Upgrade, Downgrade or Cancel Your Account

Be sure to choose whether you want your account terminated immediately or at the end of the current billing cycle. If you decide to cancel your hosting, make sure to do it before the end of your current billing cycle, or you will be liable for another month/year.

How To Cancel Your Account

Domain Name Registration and SSL Certificates

Domain name registration and SSL certificate fees - once paid - are transferred to the registration authority on your behalf, and are not refundable, per their policies. When your domain renewal is due, there is no cancellation notice required, though it's a good idea to check "Do Not Renew", so you'll stop receiving invoices and renewal notices (though per ICANN rules we are required to send at least one reminder after your domain expires). The same goes for SSL certificate renewals.

Web Design and Development Services, Server Administration Services

Design and Development services are typically not subject to a refund situation, due to the nature of the work and the fact that a service has been performed and that time spent can not be recaptured. In rare instances, such as a catastrophic breach of our written contract (failure to provide any of the deliverables), a refund can be negotiated.

Ongoing Server Administration Services are billed after the work is performed and as such not subject to a refund. The first hour of work for a new client is billed in advance, and can be subject to a refund if we fail to provide the services you requested, when due to a fault of our own and not due to a matter beyond our control (such as the client not providing correct login credentials, etc). There is no cancellation pre-notice required for these services.
